Caroma has now developed a 1.6/0.8 gallon (6/3 Litre) two button dual flush system with an average water usage as low as 1 gallon (3.8 Liters). With its unique designs, Caroma is able to offer a wide range of flushing combinations to suit specific applications.

A lowering in civic water demand can mean a deferment of capital expenditure on new water, storage and sewerage works. Caroma 's two button dual flush technology works with virtually every sewerage system in the world without the need for modification.

Dual Button PicThere is nothing new in this world about dual flush toilet systems. What is unique however is a system that comprises of two buttons Full Flush and Half Flush. The system is reliable, simple to use and is proven after rigorous testing.

As illustrated on the bar graph, the latest development of a 1.6/0.8 gallon (6/3 Litre) dual flush system saves 67% in water usage over the traditional 11 Litre single flush system.

A 1.6/0.8 gallon (6/3 Litre) dual flush system provides an average flush of 1 gallon (3.8 Liters) bettering the 2.4/1.2 gallon (9/4.5) to 4 gallon (15 Litre) Single Flush systems currently available.

This system is set to become the "New Global Standard for Water Usage."

Large Scale Testing.

testing pic The successful development of Caroma's two button reduced flush systems is the result of a decade of controlled testing. Caroma technicians and designers worked closely with government departments, both in heavily populated capital cities and dry country areas. Such extensive field testing was a vital factor in ensuring the evolution of Caroma's latest resource conscious technology.

This led to the adoption of the 1.6/0.8 gallon (6/3 Litre) two button dual flush system as the Standard in Australia.

Commitment to Development

Caroma are continuing to develop new products to lead us into the 21st century and our dual flush technology is an integral part of this commitment, as well as quality and design.

An example of this commitment is the development of a 1.2/0.8 gallon (4.5/3 Litre) Dual Flush System to comply with the new Water Standard in Singapore.
